Playtech, a leading global gambling group, has announced that it intends expanding its Playtech ONE brand by strengthening its sports betting platform.

In order to do so, Playtech Sports has taken three new executives on board which includes a new Chief Operating Officer, a new Chief Technical Officer and Sportsbook Product Director.  Playtech has also appointed a new leader for its operations in Sweden.

Several of the new executives come to Playtech Sports from extremely strong racing or betting industry backgrounds and their experience is bound to enhance Playtech’s sports software offering.

The most notable appointment was that of Richard Andrew who joined Playtech Sports as the group’s new Chief Operating Officer.  Andrew previously served at the Hong Kong Jockey and also served as Trading, Product and Services Director at Ladbrokes.

Danny Angus, who transfers from OpenBet, will be joining as Playtech Sports’ Chief Technical Officer.
Eoin Redmond, will join from Paddy Power Betfair and take over the role as Sportsbook Product Director.  Redmond also previously worked with FullTilt and Betfair.

Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer of Playtech, commented on the new appointments by saying that the three appointments that they have made align with their strategic vision for Playtech Sports and their Playtech ONE technology of creating a simple and intuitive experience for customers as well as creating an opportunity to extend beyond online and mobile.
