The IGB Affiliate Award is an annual ceremony recognizing leaders and innovators in the iGaming Industry. Winners are chosen based on industry popular vote as well as by a final committee.
The IGB Gambling Affiliate Awards for 2009 was held in The Grange, St Paul’s Hotel in London on January 28, 2010 and this black tie event was attended by over 500 luminaries of the online gaming industry. The event was not only to honor the best in the gaming industry but was also an evening of glamour, celebration and entertainment.
This year the IGB Affiliate Awards was the first online gaming industry event ever to be streamed live via the internet and was viewed by a total of 1800 from 16 different countries with global viewers watching the event live at CalvinAyre.com.
Over 4,000 members of the online gaming affiliate community voted for the 23 categories which included the online casino industry, online poker, online sports betting and online bingo.
The Best Casino Affiliate Program award went to EuroPartners who manage Casino Tropez and Casino Del Rio.
The Best IGaming Casino Software award for 2009 went to Microgaming who has won this award regularly since the inception of these awards.
Renee of Rewards Affiliates was awarded the Best Casino Affiliate manager award, Neteller for Best Payment System for Affiliates and Income Access won an award for Best iGaming Affiliate Network.
The awards also raised GBP 32,500 from the online gaming industry towards earthquake relief in Haiti and after Calvin Ayre added a matching donation an amount of GBP 65,000 was given to Oxfam.
