Microgaming, the world’s largest provider of online gaming software has announced a multi-year licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Digital Distribution.
In terms of this agreement Microgaming will receive permission from Warner Bros. to create a series of top of the range, high quality video slots using animation, characters and themes from the popular motion pictures The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in order to provide internet gaming to countries where online gaming is legalized.
Microgaming has at all times committed itself to license the right games at the right time and the deal with Warner Bros will probably trigger Microgaming to release other movie-themed slot games later this year.
$3 billion in worldwide box office takings was generated from The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and it was nominated for an amazing total of 30 Academy Awards of which they won 17, one being for Best Picture.
