William Hill Online Seeks Growth in Ireland

William Hill photoWilliam Hill, one of the UK’s leading online and offline gambling corporations is endeavoring to tap further into the growing Irish gambling market and last week announced the launch of a brand new Irish betting site.

After spending more than a year developing the local site, William Hill is hoping to compete with its rivals, such as Paddy Power, for a share of the estimation €1 billion Irish online betting and online gaming market and they believe that there is much potential to be derived by focusing on punters from this region.

Tony Kenny, head of international public relations at William Hill, revealed that they are really thrilled about their new Irish venture and are confident that it will be a great hit with Irish punters.

A huge selection of betting options – approximately 500,000 a week, will be offered to Irish gamblers on local and international sporting events by the site.

The new site will also feature Irish-focused novelty markets and the Sporting events will include rugby, football, horse racing, motor sports as well as US sports.

William Hill currently operates more than 50 retail stores in Ireland and employs around twenty Irish staff.   They will, however, be looking to employ more quality Irish staff to join their team due to their planned global expansions.

The new Irish venture will also offer players bingo, casino, poker, live Vegas and slot games.
