Ultimate Bet has promised to investigate a suspected software glitch on its poker site after losing players were awarded prizes or congratulated on their wins.
While it was originally thought that the glitch was a one-off incident, poker forums are rife with player’s reports of similar incidents happening to them. As a result, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, which licenses and regulates Ultimate Bet, has stepped in and said that it, too, would be investigating the problem.
“What does slow things down is when forum posters randomly send disparaging comments to the KGC about an operator, but don't substantiate any claim or provide any intel which could be of use in opening an investigative file” said the Gaming Commission. “If there are legitimate claims, I would encourage any potentially wronged players to contact the KGC.”
