Duplicate Poker Closes Down

Typography

Duplicate Poker created a revolution of sorts when it opened its doors in 2007 by introducing a format of poker that was 100% skill based. This was to done to circumvent the UIGEA and promote a form of online poker that would be “legal” in the United States.

Recently it had launched a fresh development initiative in order to increase its presence in the online poker market. Unfortunately things did not work out well and Duplicate Poker has announced that it is shutting down.

The reason cited by Duplicate Poker is that the current credit crunch has reduced traffic to levels that make operations unviable. The message at their web site read, “Caught in the middle of the global financial situation the company is not able to continue to provide service. We are a small victim of the global financial crisis.” Duplicate Poker has posted a mechanism on their web site that will enable their customers to withdraw funds lying with the online poker room.
