Theo Jorgensen won the bracelet in the £5,500 pot limit Omaha event at the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). This was a deep-stacked event with each player starting with 20,000 chips.
165 players had participated. Along with the bracelet Jorgensen took home £218,626. The final table had some great names such as Sorel Mizzi, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson and Jason Mercier.
Earlier in the tournament Sherkhan Farnood won Event #2, the £2,500 H.O.R.S.E. This was Farnood’s first ever bracelet. He ousted some really big names on the way like Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, and Phil Hellmuth, with whom he shared some sharp exchanges at the table. Farnood hails from Afghanistan, but is not the first Afghan to win a bracelet. That honor went to Qushqar Morad in 2002.
Meanwhile the Main Event is in progress and Daniel Negreanu is currently well positioned to win. Jennifer Tilly is also doing well.
