Malta based internet gaming company Gaming Innovation Group has revealed that it is furthering its presence within Eastern European betting markets by entering into a platform services partnership with Nike, Slovakia’s largest betting operator.
In terms of the deal Nike will take on Gaming Innovation Group’s gaming platform, which will offer online gaming services and a backend to the retail group.
Nike is quite popular in Slovakia and has gained a reputation as being an excellent sports betting and casino operator in the area. It currently operates over 900 betting points in Slovakia and will integrate Gaming Innovation Group’s iGaming Cloud platform as it prepares for a new regulatory framework for iGaming and betting provisions.
Robin Reed, Gaming Innovation Group’s Chief Executive Officer, commented on the deal by saying that through this agreement they are expanding their geographical reach to Slovakia, doing so with the number one player, Nike. He added that for more than two decades they have delivered a premium service through their network of over 900 branches. He also said that they are excited that they have chosen iGamingCloud as their platform provider.
Nike Chief Executive Officer, Otto Berger, added that after the liberalization of e-games in Slovakia, their goal is to be number one in this area, as they have long been in the field of sports betting. He added that they are looking forward to the co-operation with iGaming Cloud.
