Leading land and online gambling supplier group, Scientific Games Corporation, has announced that former Chief Executive Officer and President of Norwegian Cruise Line, Kevin M. Sheehan, has joined Scientific Games as the company’s new CEO and President with immediate effect and will serve on the company’s board of directors.
Gavin Isaacs, who currently serves as CEO and President at Scientific Games, will serve as Vice Chairman of the board of directors, with the change becoming effective immediately.
According to Isaacs, they are one company today with three strong businesses – lottery, gaming and interactive and with their integration behind them, their business strategies are delivering solid results. He also said that with their momentum building, he is moving from an operational leadership position to a more strategic role as Vice Chairman of the board of directors.
Isaacs went on to welcome Kevin Sheehan on behalf of his colleagues and the board and said that this is the right time to grow their leadership team and have someone of Kevin’s experience, talent and financial acumen to take them to the next level of growth and innovation.
Sheehan served as CEO and President of Norwegian Cruise Line for a period of seven years, leading the development and expansion of the company and presiding over strong sales and EBITDA growth as well as its initial public offering (IPO), which was one of the most successful IPO’s in 2013.
