The Gaming App Awards 2016 ceremony took place at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, a luxurious five-star hotel situated in the Knightsbridge district of London on Friday, 20th May 2016 and saw Betsson Casino, Mr. Green Casino and PokerStars celebrate as the night’s major winners.
The Gaming App Awards recognizes outstanding mobile innovations within the global online gambling industry and covers all leading markets. The categories that feature include casino, slots, sports, bingo, lottery and poker.
Betsson claimed the coveted App of the Year accolade for its Jackpots App and also claimed Best Slots Game App award for the innovation.
Mr. Green Casino won the sought-after Best Casino App award as well as the Innovative App of the Year award at the ceremony.
PokerStars was also a recipient of two awards and walked away with Best Poker App award and Best Free to Play App award while the award for Best App Design went to Leo Vegas Casino and the Best App Company award was won by Pilot Games.
The Best Sports Betting App Award went to Playtech while Lottoland received the Best Lottery App award and the Best Bingo App award went to Mecca Bingo.
Mobile Strike, a military-based game that currently features Arnold Schwarzenegger in the marketing won the final award for Best Social Gaming App.
The ceremony was the 2nd Gaming App Awards event and was organized and hosted by Clever Duck Media which also hosts the International Gaming Awards (IGA) and the Women in Gaming Awards (WIG).
