International Game Technology, one of the leading online and land gambling supply companies, has announced that they have promoted Darrel Rodrigues to the position of Chief Creative Officer.
Rodrigues took up the position as International Game Technology’s Senior Vice President Global Game Studios in October 2010.
According to a company spokesman, Rodrigues has over fifteen years of entertainment and gaming experience extending across The Walt Disney Company, Electronic Arts, Lucas Arts and International Game Technology. He added that Rodrigues, will therefore benefit all International Game Technology’s stakeholders by bringing a special understanding of how to proficiently render industry leading knowledge across all platforms.
According to Chief Executive Officer of International Game Technology, Patti Hart, "Darrell brings an impressive history of creativity, strategic vision, and best-in-class content expertise that will continue to provide the foundation of our products and services."
Hart added that "He has provided the necessary leadership for our content development efforts and is well equipped to further our pursuit of creating and providing the most innovative game content for all of our customers and partners."
Rodrigues will also be directing International Game Technology’s worldwide creative agenda which includes the company’s publishers’ platform, third party game developers and content creation strategy.
