Ultimatebet.com LogoUltimateBet.com, the leading online poker, has announced that despite the fact that they love the Aruba Poker Classic it has recently cancelled this event and will be focusing on increasing its presence at major events that already exist.

The Kahnawake-licensed poker room also intends developing a monthly $500,000 guaranteed tournament which they hope will turn into a million-dollar event.

UltimateBet is also planning to create more pro-related competitions and intend running a twice-yearly UltimateBet Online Championship.

Paul Leggett, Chief Operating Officer for Tokwiro Enterprises, the casino’s Quebec-based owner and operator said that “It is with great regret that we are announcing that the Aruba event will not run this year but 2010 is going to be an exciting year for UltimateBet.com and its players”.  “Over the last year, we’ve been redefining the UltimateBet.com brand in every way and think we can do a lot more for our players by investing in new events and rewards.”

UltimateBet.com has also signed a deal whereby it will serve as official sponsor for the Four Aces Poker Pro Canada Classic.  This event is due to commence on April 15 and will be held over a period of four days with a buy-in of $1,650.  Fifty players are set to be sent to this event via a series of online satellite tournaments.
