One lucky online poker player, Lionel Foulquier from France, has won 210,000 Euros in Poker Heaven’s largest ever Bad Beat Jackpot.
After playing online poker for just over a year Foulquier was playing on a .50 Euro/1 Euro No Limit Table when he had Quad 8s beaten by Quad Queens. He had joined Poker Heaven last summer as he found the sign-up Bonus, monthly rake races and enormous jackpots very appealing.
Foulquier commented: “I was aware that the jackpot was standing at over €600,000, but to be honest I didn’t think I stood any chance of winning it. When my quad 8s were beaten I immediately left the table to see if I had won, and when I realized I had, I spoke to a friend of mine to tell him that I had just won over €200,000, and at that point we were both left speechless. The atmosphere at the table when all the players realized we had won the Bad Beat Jackpot was amazing, and I would like to thank all of the players and the Poker Heaven staff for their best wishes and the support I have received. As to what to do next, I am planning to buy an apartment with some of the winnings and of course I intend to play a lot more poker!”
Grant Williams, Head of Gaming for Poker Heaven stated that they are very happy that their largest ever Bad Beat Jackpot has been paid out. The jackpot has now been reset to 120,000 Euros and they are hoping that the next jackpot win will be even bigger than this past win.
