It took John Juanda all of 22 hours to whittle down Stanislav Alekhin and win the £10,000 No Limit Hold’Em Main Event at the World Series of Poker Europe in London. Juanda also took home £868,800 as the first prize.

Juanda and Alekhin were the chip leaders when the final table was established. The other players at the final table were Robin Keston, Daniel Negreanu, Chris Elliott, Bengt Sonnert, Ivan Demidov, Toni Hiltunen and Scott Fischman.

This final table has many hidden stories. Negreanu, Fischman and Juanda had nine bracelets between them before the conclusion of the event. Negreanu had 4, Juanda had 3 and Fischman had 2 bracelets. Now Negreanu and Juanda are tied at 4 bracelets. Elliott, Hiltunen and Alekhin cashed for the first time in a WSOP event. Demidov was already finalist at the Vegas WSOP and is waiting for the delayed final round to take place in November.
