World Series Of Poker 2008 Marches On

Typography

With the WSOP underway there is no action of note anyway else. The entire galaxy of poker celebrities is at the Rio.

June 2 is the only day in which there will be no bracelet on account of Event #2 ($1,500 NLHE) being played out over four days. Because of the large starting field this event failed to reach a final table. There are eighteen players in the fray over two tables. Table 14 is headed by Josh Engerdahl while Table 15 is headed by Eric Hicks.

In Event #3, the $1,500 Pot Limit Hold’em, Robert Workman is in the lead, closely followed by Philip Yeh. Event #4, $5,000 Mixed Hold’em, started on the June 2 with a line up that included Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey and Jennifer Tilly. Nenad Medic was in the race as well trying to be the first double winner of 2008. However none of these pros ended in the top ten.
