The most important online gambling awards, the eGaming Review Awards, was held at London’s Billingsgate on November 30th.
More than 900 executives from the gaming industry attended the Awards presented by comedian Mark Watson.
European gambling giant, Bwin, was the winner of the top award, for Operator of the Year. Other nominees included Bet 365, who were highly commended, Betfair, William Hill Online, 888 and Betclick.
There were 19 different categories judged at the Awards with PKR winning Online Marketing Campaign of the Year, Gamesys winning Innovation of the Year, Offline Marketing Campaign of the Year going to Betclick and Virgin Games judged Affiliate Program of the Year.
The Mobile Operator of the Year was won by Probability, Asian Operator of the Year went to SBO Bet and Socially Responsible Operator of the Year went to Betsson.
Foxy Bingo was judged the Bingo Operator of the Year and Betboo won the Latin American Operator of the Year award.
The sports betting category saw Betfair judged the UK Sports Betting Operator of the Year and the European Sports Betting Operator of the Year award going to Unibet.
Party Gaming was judged Poker Operator of the Year while 888 won the Casino Operator of the Year Award.
The Financial Betting Operator of the Year contest was won by Bet on Markets while the Rising Star of the Year Award for companies under three years old went to Gaming Media Group.
VCBetAsia was awarded the Asian Live Gaming Operator of the Year and Unibet was named the European Live Gaming Operator of the Year.
Those attending were not too happy about the new format of the Awards as the prizes were handed out before the main dinner that was, therefore, only served after 9 pm.
