Disappointing news for US online casino players is the announcement that Golden Casino, a major player in the US gaming space, is in the process of being sold. Once Golden Casino is under the new ownership on December 1, 2009, it will no longer accept new players from the US.
Although current US online players at Golden Casino can continue to log-in, play as well as cash out any winnings it is not certain as to how long they will be able to continue to do so.
Management at Golden Casino has reported that “No cash from players or affiliates will be unpaid, but no longer will new players be able to register accounts with Golden Casino and make deposits”.
It therefore appears that although Golden Casino is closing to the US market, current players will have no problem with the funds in their account and affiliates will be paid.
Other Vegas Technology online casinos will, however, continue to operate as usual and will continue to accept US players.
