Leading provider of online entertainment software and services, GigaMedia Limited, has appointed Dirk Chen as its Chief Financial Officer.
Chen, who has been a special advisor and board member at GigaMedia since November, 2011, has replaced Quincy Tang who will now be assuming Chen’s previous position as GigaMedia’s special advisor.
Chief Executive Officer at GigaMedia, John Stringer, said “New financial management for the new Giga and expertise in turning around and growing challenged companies – we are delighted to add Dirk to our team. Chen served as Chief Financial Officer of publicly listed Financial One Corp in Singapore before spending his career with Taiwan-based firm, Chailease Finance, where he served in several roles including Senior Advisor, President and Chief Financial Officer. Chen successfully led several important initiatives and tripled Chailease Finance’s revenues whilst in their employ.
John Stringer was appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Director by GigaMedia Limited last month and replaced Yichin Lee who had resigned from his position at the company.
GigaMedia provides software and services for online poker and casino sites in Europe and runs online gaming operations in Taiwan.
