Swedish online casino, Mr Green, is expanding into the United Kingdom and has appointed Kat McClure, the former Microsoft manager, to head up the initiative.
Mr Green was voted the best online gambling web site by magazine Internetworld in 2008 and 2009. The Casino was launched in Sweden in August 2008, in Norway in September 2008 and will open in the UK in February 2010.
Mikael Pawlo, managing director at Mr Green said "The UK market is hyper competitive and therefore we are happy to have such a talented and skilled country manager in Kat McClure to lead Mr Green’s entry into the market”. "Kat's combination of recent experience with one of the world's super brands and prior to that in the entrepreneurial environment of a startup ISP will prove very useful in establishing our brand in the UK."
Prior to joining Microsoft, where she worked as the Dynamics Audience Marketing Manager, she worked for Mistral Internet where she was responsible for leading the marketing and PR for Mistral’s high-speed ADSL and Hosting services. Kat was also involved in consumer and B2B marketing with the National Geographic Channel as well as BSkyB.
Mr Green will be the only online casino operator in the UK to offer four different casino vendors, namely NYX Interactive, Net Entertainment, Wagerworks and Betsoft Gaming which will enable players to change vendors without exchanging coins or chips.
