GTECH Enters into African Deal

GTECH, the international lottery company, has entered into a partnership with Pinridge Ltd. to supply technology solutions for a new sports betting venture in Ghana.

“With this new contract in Ghana, GTECH has expanded its presence in Africa working together with our valued partner Pinbridge to bring the first online sports betting wagering system to Ghana,” said GTECH President Jaymin B. Patel.

It is expected that GTECH will supply Ghana with over 1500 betting terminals in sports bars, convenience stores, etc. Pinridge, which holds a ten-year sports betting license in the country, will run the operations.

Moshe Edry, Chairman of Pinbridge said: “Pinbridge is very pleased to select GTECH to be our partner in Ghana. The launch of GFA supported sports betting in Ghana is a market milestone and the first step in the development of Pinbridge’s gaming operations in Africa.
